Identity account improvements: Identity accounts (OpenID, Twitter connect, Facebook connect, etc) can now post entries in communities.

Also, some people are reporting that, for them, the nav bar has embedded in it a like/share button that shares with Facebook. And that it works even in Locked, Members-Only Communities. ( Read more... )

How am I meant to get into a fandom and learn what a fandom is like, one that I am genuinely interested in, if I have to give a referees name to be allowed to join the LJ community for that fandom? A referee I obviously don't have because, get this, I am not a member of the fandom yet and therefore I don't know anyone in it.
